Dr. Walter Collazo
Dr. Collazo earned his dental degree from Georgetown University School of Dentistry in 1990. Shortly after graduation, he joined the U.S. Army Dental Corps where he completed an Advanced Education Program in General Dentistry. In 1995, following military assignments in Kansas, Germany and Texas, Dr. Collazo established residence in Northern Virginia. Professionally, he is dedicated to providing his patients exceptional clinical care. This pursuit has taken him to develop professional relationships with some of the best advanced dental education centers in the World, like The Pankey Institute and Spear Education. His areas of clinical interest are adult complex restorations, esthetics, dental implants, facial pain, TMJ disorders, and dental sleep medicine. He lectures on those topics to local study clubs and maintains membership in the Greater Loudoun Study Club (where he serves as a restorative advisor), Spear Faculty Club and Spear Study Club. Dr. Collazo believes that each patient presents a unique set of conditions, desires and expectations that must be evaluated and understood. Therefore, he aims to develop a partnership with his patients and to empower them to create a lifetime strategy to achieve comfort, function, beauty and dental health. Outside the office, Dr. Collazo is a family man and sport enthusiast. As a former volleyball athlete, he lends his experience by being on the coaching staff of the Heritage High School Volleyball Program and Club Volleyball circuit. In addition to dentistry and sports, his wife of over 30 years and family (which includes two adult daughters and a dog) are his foundation and greatest success. Dr. Collazo is a preferred Vendor for the Management of Obstructive Sleep Apnea with Oral Appliance Therapy in Reston, Herndon, Sterling and Loudoun County.
Dr. Arabshahi
Dr. Ava Arabshahi is a dedicated dentist committed to providing exceptional care to patients of all ages. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) and has been practicing in Northern Virginia ever since. Dr. Ava Arabshahi offers a full range of general dentistry services and is also certified in Invisalign and implant surgery, ensuring comprehensive treatment options for her patients. One of Dr. Ava Arabshahi greatest joys in dentistry is building strong relationships with her patients. She takes pride in helping individuals overcome dental anxiety, educating them on their oral health, and tailoring treatment plans to meet their individual needs. Beyond the clinic, Dr. Ava Arabshahi is passionate about giving back to the community. She has volunteered with organizations such as Mission of Mercy and Give Kids a Smile, providing free dental care to underserved populations. She is also an active member of the American Dental Association (ADA) and the Virginia Dental Association (VDA), staying involved to advocate for both her profession and her patients. When she’s not practicing dentistry, Dr. Ava Arabshahi enjoys staying active through workouts, reading, and traveling. She is committed to lifelong learning and continuously advancing her skills to provide the best care possible for her patients.
Dr. Guanci
Dr. Robert Guanci was born and raised in Chesapeake, Virginia and attended James Madison University where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Dr. Guanci went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry in 2016. After graduating from dental school, Dr. Guanci moved to Washington DC, where he worked for four years as a general dentist. He is passionate about forming a connection with his patients, making them laugh and feel comfortable, all while improving their overall oral health. Dr. Guanci enjoys all aspects of dentistry and strives to provide reliable, comprehensive dental care to each of his patients. He finds it very important to always be staying up to date on the latest dental techniques and technology through continuing education courses. In his spare time, Dr. Guanci enjoys spending time with friends and family, playing golf, snowboarding, cooking, and traveling. When he is not engaging in any of the above, he is cheering on his Boston sports teams!
